The Bluesville Series from Craft Recordings and Acoustic Sounds!
Inspired by the original Prestige label imprint established in 1959
All-analogue mastering by Matthew Lutthans at The Mastering Lab
Highlighting trailblazing blues musicians from legendary labels
With his eerie, keening vocals and minor-tuned guitar, no other bluesman sounds quite like Skip James. This is perfectly encapsulated on his 1968 Vanguard Records solo release, Devil Got My Woman.
Released in partnership with Acoustic Sounds, the album has been (AAA) remastered from the original tapes by Matthew Lutthans at The Mastering Lab and pressed on 180-gram vinyl. A tip-on jacket completes the package.
